Chappell Roan is on a hot streak, proving she is “your favorite artist’s favorite artist,” with major co-signs from Elton John, Lady Gaga, Charli XCX and now, Blink-182.

The band was concluding their headlining set at Lollapalooza on Aug. 4 when Mark Hoppus sang the closing lines of Roan’s “Pink Pony Club” to replace the end of “Dammit.” Instead of singing the repeated “Well, I guess this is growing up” lyric in “Dammit,” Hoppus interpolated “Pink Pony”; “I’m gonna keep on dancing at the Pink Pony Club / I’m gonna keep on dancing down in West Hollywood,” he sang as fireworks erupted to close the night.

Roan performed at the festival earlier that week, on Aug. 1, where the 26-year-old rising pop singer drew yet another massive festival audience. Drone and festival cameras captured an eye-popping sea of festival-goers following Roan’s viral dance trend to her song, “Hot to Go!”

In a statement to Variety, a spokesperson for Lollapalooza said Roan’s festival performance was “the biggest daytime set we’ve ever seen.” The number of attendees was not confirmed.

Roan’s main stage performance featured a boxing ring set and female bodybuilders who lifted barbells and dumbbells during “Hot to Go!” The song is at No. 26 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and is one of many singles Roan has posted on the chart in recent weeks.

Her 2023 debut album “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess,” climbed to a No. 5 peak on the Billboard 200 dated July 13. The album, and Roan’s music in general, has gradually grown on streaming and she has four songs on Spotify’s U.S. Top 50 songs list. Most recently, “Midwest Princess'” lead track, “Femininomenon,” was used in a promotional TikTok for Kamala Harris’ Democratic presidential nomination.
