President Muhammadu Buhari, on Saturday, released a letter to Nigerians to commemorate the 2022 New Year. Buhari expressed gratitude to God for another year attained as a country, united by a common destiny and resolute in our determination to overcome the several challenges along the path to build the great and prosperous nation of our dream.
The President identified some challenges affecting the progress of the country and the readiness of his administration to tackle the issues.
- Trade ministers from both countries deliberated on 64 issues, out of which 30 were resolved
- Tanzania will allow Kenyan wheat and juice, while Kenya agreed to return the favour by granting similar treatment to Tanzanian cement
- The revenue authorities will explore the possibilities of allowing free movement of cigarettes made from raw materials sourced from Tanzania
